Today I’m standing on the bridge near where we used to live
not slept for days, been drunk for weeks, tried to escape reality
feels like slowly waking up to a dream I’ve dreamt for months.
I’m not myself these days, I’m either wasted or I am on the run.

This is the place we used to sit at the river by the bridge
I can clearly see your face as the water gathers pace
out of my eyes out of my sight it carries you away
slowly wearing out your name, screaming off the pain

The happiest couple in town now lives in separate premises
this place won’t ever be the same only memories remain
lost a friend, lost a home, lost a lover, feel alone
